Rudy Shoushany:

Welcome to this episode of Dxtalks in IT Magazine where we really glad for our guest today a young shining star in the age of car racing.  So welcome to this episode.

Tell us more about you know you won those two seasons and then you know how did you what happened tell us more about that background.

Jamie Chadwick:

Yeah so I was competing in a championship series which is the all-female support race to formula1 was in 2021 and yeah in its first season in 2019 I was fortunate enough to win it and then again in 2021 so yeah it's basically given me quite a big leg up onto my long term dream of being a formula1 driver.

Rudy Shoushany:

Oh great so how did that pandemic actually affect you?

Jamie Chadwick:

Quite a lot because well I was meant to be racing in w3s again and the season was canceled and so I was fortunate enough to do some other racing but it was a very different kind of style of you know the way we're going about it with the pandemic travel was very different and even now it's still not back to normal the precautions and everything that I've put in place do make it a bit more difficult but still just have to still be racing.

Rudy Shoushany:

Yeah great so today we are in Acronis you know big event today uh you know we're glad that we're somehow back into the physical world how was your event here and…

Jamie Chadwick:

Yeah it's been great so far um i'm always interested in learning what you know our partners do and yeah w series and williams are both you know two series or companies that are supported by economists so it's great for me to understand it better and yeah meet some of the people involved and the women you know in tech panels is particularly inspiring for me to be a part of so yeah it's been cool

Rudy Shoushany:

Yeah, you just finished the woman in-tech that was a good talk by the way now let's go into a little bit of you know data and and I know in the racing is data is key so tell us more where do you utilize the data how do you utilize it how does it you know make you possibly a winner or a loser sometimes.

Jamie Chadwick:

Yeah it's massive you know the data that we have access to and the parameters and the telemetry that we gain from the cars and from ourselves is pretty extensive now so you know after every session or actually before you even get to the weekend you're analyzing the data from you know previous weekends you're understanding where you can improve where you know the car setup can be improved you're overlaying you know normally you overlay the speed and you've got all the parameters that you look at around that and you can kind of get a gauge for where you're losing speed or gaining speed and then throughout the weekend that's our baby that's what we rely solely on to to understand where to improve so it's hugely important and then alongside that you know with technology advancing so much, particularly for example simulators we are so reliant on that data and for feedback.

Rudy Shoushany:

Yeah well now we're talking about simulator so it's another layer of of data and acronyms today is playing a big role in protecting you know making sure that those data is secure they are protected from cyber-attacks and even you know backed up and so on what do you think is today is the most data in your personal life so you want to protect it also as you know as a username?

Jamie Chadwick:

That's a good question I am on my phone and messaging and on social media a hell of a lot so although I'd like to say people can probably read whatever my messages are and there's no issue still you know I use it. it's such a big form of communication I'm away a lot I travel a huge amount so being away from friends and family at home just the ability to communicate so much and have that data protected so useful.
